Valentine Album Using Crate Paper Kiss Kiss Collection and Love Notes Collection

Hi, Everyone! I know 2014 hasn't passed yet, but I already posting a valentine album. LOL. I saw these super cute papers from Crate Paper, Kiss Kiss is their new collection for 2015 valentines day. Then I got images flashing over my mind on what I want to do with it. Lol. The mojo is here!!! So there you go!

The color theme is pink, red, white, and a bit of teal. Here the cover. I made a photo guide for the frame and actually the little black dot thingy on top of it is a pull out tag for the photo guide. Honestly, I come to love this album so very much. I think it is one of my favorite.

You can see there are lots of flaps and layers to the pages. Of course we all need those extra spaces for our humongous photos we took on our special day ;)

1st page. Flap opens to the left. In the flap, I insert 2 loose tags. Btw, I made the crochet heart myself :D

2nd page.

3rd page. Below the baloon got small loose cut outs. I secure the tri-fold with twine. Inside the folds also got loose tags and cut outs.

4th page. Layer a very pretty tissue paper with hearts inside it the paper ( I think its handmade ). Then open up, you can see a small shopping bag with loose booklet that you can pull out. Next to it are loose cut outs.

5th page (left side) is quiet straight forward. I layered top and bottom part with some border punch and velvet ribbon, then paste flowers, hearts and crystal pin. 6th page (right side) I made a frame with photo backing that you can pull out (see the fabric tab on top), also slip a loose cut out says "True Love" (aww..).

This is what page 6 look like when you open it. Actually the frame is 2 sides so you can alternately switch the photos. Again loose tags and cut outs. The camera from Kiss Kiss ephemera is sooo cute, it has a gold heart at the center (oops, sorry the pic was blocked by the tag).

7th page. A swinging journaling card with photo frame.

8th page. Another layer of tissue paper, but this time I add a gold heart die-cut from sizzix.

9th page. The journaling card can flip up and reveal pocket that I made using the tissue paper and doily. Very pretty as you can see thru the paper.

10th page is our last page in the album. The paper I cut from Echo Park Lucky In Love collection. I made a pocket where you can pull out another page (see the fabric tab).

Camera Album Using Prima Coffee Break Collection

Recently I made quite a few camera albums (will post other album later on). Camera album is simply a 4.5" by 6" journaling album that use camera die cut on the cover. I use Sizzix camera die as I find the size and gives me a lot of room to decorate the camera according to the album theme.

This time I used paper from Prima Coffee Break Collection. Use some of the 12x12" papers, 6x6" paper, the 4x6" journaling pad, and the 2 sets of stamps. Actually the collection also comes with the 3D stickers but I need quite a lot of it, so I made them myself. I stamped the images repetitively and watercolor them, then layer a few depending on how dimensional you want. Lastly coated it with glossy accent.

On the first page, I made a tri-fold and secure it with the string. The right side is where I put together all the pages using coptic stitch. The book contains 5 booklets, they are called signatures. I only decorated the first page of every signature. As you can see inside the signature is plain pages, where they can write, paste photos, or draw.

The 1st signature. Made a polaroid frame to slide photo in. Also got a love letter which I tucked on the top left.

The 2nd signature. The oval page is to put photo and also can flip up. Left side is a loose tag.

The 3rd signature. Also a polaroid frame to slide photo and there is a pull out page behind the frame. Another loose tags and cut out image tucked.
The 4th signatures. Left side is an open up small booklet with pocket for the tag. Right side as you can see there is a page already flipped up. Then the 2 cards can be pulled out to use separately, also can flip open to the left.
The 5th Signature more straight forward with lots of 3D self-made stickers :)

Hope you enjoy. Thanks for viewing. More to come!

Rustic Theme Wedding Album

One of my good friend was getting married. I have known her for almost 10 years, and was started as my sister's friend then become more like a family. Known her since she was in high school and now she was getting married!! Don't know where the time has gone to ?!?!?! Wanna give her something special that is not just a packet of money ( In asia, it's a custom to give packet of money as a wedding gift ).

Here it is a simple rustic wedding album. Actually this album is the second one I made, so please pardon the simplicity and yet I would like to share the thoughts and ideas I had. Made using Simple Stories Story of Us collection. The album was made from scratch using chipboard for each of the 6 pages. There's a frame that she can put her photo in. Burlap sheet to cover the spine with little charms of lock and a key hanging.

Some closer view on the flower details. I use the flower triplits from sizzix and die cut a few layer of cardstock, vellum and glitter paper. Then the centre I put glass beads. I suggest to use glossy accent rather than glue. It is super strong.

Here some of the pages I made. I just realise that I didn't take the every pages, so here a few only. The album already given out to her. This page I a bit of medium from Art Anthology to create a dimensional gold flourish background. I used it like a texture past over a flourish stencil. The color was great, but the downside is the finish surface is a bit tacky if I pressed it against the other page, like if I force them apart, some of the paper was torn n stick to the flourish. So I put flowers to create a gap between the page. Anyway, who doesn't love all these gorgeous flowers! Also you can see at the bottom, I scattered gold mica flakes.

I made the banner with kraft paper and vellum. Very easy, just cut them rectangle and layer, hole punch them together, pull a string thru and voila, you have a banner. The little cute hydrangea flowers are from Martha Stuart punch. This punch is one of my favourite!! You will see more of these flowers in my future projects.

There you go. I hope my little project can share some inspiration to others. Thanks you for looking.

Dear Santa - Winter Layout

Finally I finish it!! So much to learn when you use a a lot of mediums in it. This layout is our second theme that we (my group of friends who happen to be crazy about scrapbooking) decided to make this months to celebrate Christmas. Everything here in Singapore is so festive and pretty, eventhough we dont have snow, instead rain rain everyday. Haha.

Using Blue Fern papers with their beautiful watercolor effect. Use it for the background and the layers for my photo mat. I used a lottttt of crackle paint and spray from Prima to create the depth of the bricks.

You can see there are a lot of layers with dimension. I use cut chipboard and stack them together to give the thickness.

I loveee the flourish. Fully embossed using Stampedous Shabby White embossing powder. White with lots of gold glitter and specks of gold. They look so pretty!! Got the flowers from Prima and gesso-ed them to tone down the color a bit and also give that snowy look.

The tags is chipboard from dusty attic, gesso-ed and I traced the letters using gold gel pen and coated it with clear crackle paint.

This is to show your the crackle paint from Prima. Look how amazing it is!! I used Prima stencil with white crackle texture paste. Oh, before that I sprayed tea stain and gold foil for the background of the bricks. Must let the crackle paint dry naturally. I tried using heat gun and the crackle didn't show much. After they completely dry, i just use my finger to dab gold and silver paint to make the crack more obvious. The clock resin is also from Prima.

The best part!! We took a lot of photos but I chose this one. LOL. Ok, Santa. This is the evidence that we have been soooo good this year. I think we deserve some pressies.

I am going for 3 challenges using this layout, 13arts challenge, Blue Fern sketch challenge and Scrap Around the World challenge. This is the mood board where I got my inspiration from. Love the white and gold with a bit of blue to express how I feel about this Christmas. I want to have snow in Singapore!!!! Lol. You can find out about Srap Around The World challenge here http://scraparoundtheworld.blogspot.sg/2014/12/december-2014-challenge-20-frosty.html

Here and Now

This layout was made for the fun we created. These lovely ladies in the picture are my friends and we have this crazy interest in scrapbooking. LOL. So to make things more interesting, we created a challenge for ourselves to make a layout using certain paper collection.

Then since we all come from a huge variety of age, background, and nationalities, it took us about 2 months just to take the group photo.

So here it is our very first challenge layout that i made using Bella Rouge Collection from Pink Paislee. The black gold flowers i made using patterned paper, while those black and gold look a like paint is actually Stampedous embossing powder which i stamp on random areas around the photo.

A lot of weaving.. i know. Well, in my imagination, i found this trick to make weaving very fast, but then its only in my imagination !!! hahahahahaha. The longest process here actually the weaving.

Hope you enjoy !

my little doggie

My sister bought this dog using my atm card. That time i studied overseas and left her my atm card just in case i need her to buy me something. I was uptset that time because the dog was over the budget i gave her. Then i got to see him after almost 1 yr later, and i was so glad that she bought him. Hahaha. His name is Louis and he is the darling in my home. He is a 5 yrs old male over-fed mini pomeranian.

Here is the layout i made using sizzix alphabet die "word play". The alpha was really fun to use. The flowers are cut using tattered flower die and then i sprayed prima color bloom. The colors are fantastic and this die is really got for making roses.

Some close ups on the parts of the layout and you can see his facr. Soo naughty n so cute.

Matchbox Cabinet Drawer

This idea came when my colleague was leaving our shop. We work in a scrapbook shop (What a happy place to be surrounded by pretty things). I made 3 matchboxes and glue them together to form a standing cabinet with 3 drawers. The matchbox you can die cut using sizzix matchbox die. you also can customize you cabinet shape depending on how you arrange the boxes. In the end you will have a pretty n cute storage place to store you belongings.

Always Together

Hiii! I know it's almost summer already, but I have this winter photo from my last holiday waiting to be framed. I've ben so busy with work and barely have to time to find ideas on the layout. Hahaha. But now its done in summer. This layout I used a lot of texture paste to create brick and the snow. Then i watercolor the brick to give depth.

the paper I used are magnolia's ink paper, kaiser craft, and some old papers that me friend distashed. Hahaha. I always keep whatever paper they throw.

I used distressed crackle paint for the birdhouse and wheel, then give a litle dab of white chalk ink. The rosettes are from sizzix dies the 3D flower. They arw very nice if you put them in a bunch. There are a few Dusty Attic chipboards used for this - birdhouse, wheel, and the tittle.

Miss You Lots..

I made this layout about 4 months after my dad passed away. Couldn't believe he is no longer with us. I lived in overseas at that time and couldn't get back in time to see him the last time. It was sudden and it was fast, but I'm grateful that when it happened he didn't have to suffer. He was a very active man and still working even though he is already 77 yrs old. Sitting in wheelchair would never be a option for him.

The last 3 years had been getting really tough for him due to arthritis, hearing problem, high blood pressure, and he was a bit overweight but then he didn't have the strength to exercise or walk for long period or just to climb up upstairs took him 10 minutes. It was heart wrenching watching someone so strong, smart, funny, wise... can be devoured by age. He was my anchor. My whole life goes around him.

Today I keep thinking that he wouldn't want me to indulge my sorrow. Life must go on. My sister told me once ( because I kept crying n crying n asking "why??...why??"), "The living ones are more important than the dead one". She really got a twist like my dad. 1 sentence can drill hole to my brain.

I learn to focus more to those around me. The past only leave my with memories I cannot change, but the present is a memory I can create. Cherish the ones that I have now is what matters the most.

This photo was taken on his last birthday. He like to make funny faces whenever we took photo, until we have to take many times. Most of the paper I used are from Prima. The flowers are from Prima and the roses are handmade.

The best dad.. More than I can ask for.

He used pocket watch and here I found the perfect embellishment from Jolle's sticker. I did handwritting for journal cum tittle and I also drew the flourish.

I do miss him a lot, but I have to be strong. I will give my best for this life.

Enjoy The Moments

When I saw this paper collection from Webster's Page, I couldn't resist to take a few sheets of each one of them. They are so romantic and dreamy. I instantly got images on how to make it. The one with hot air ballon is my favorite. The empty square at the bottom right hand side is the place to put your photo.

Here some closer picture to show you the details. This in particular using a few layers to make the 3D effect, as you can see on the hot air balloon. I also smudged some ink to create more depth.

A lot of complicated cuttings, and I mean a lot lot lot of cutting. haha. The collection also comes with their lovely embellishments, like the green flower cameo at  bottom left.

I get this phrase from Dusty Attic. They have really beautiful words and the laser cutting are gorgeous. The best chipboard I can find so far. You will notice that I'm using quite a lot of their products for my projects. I smudge inks around the edges and then I put some stars around it.

I hope you like it. :)

Love

I want to share a piece of my work  here. The empty square on the centre is where you should put your photo. For your information, I'm making pre-done scrapbook photo frame for sale.

This one is using KaiserCraft True Romance collection papers, key embellishment from Prima Marketing. Chipboard word 'Love' from Dusty Attic (I really love love love their collections), bird nest embellishment from Webster's Pages. I made the roses from paper and those flourish borders are from EK punch. There are many other miscellaneous things involved in the making which I cannot possibly mention all of them, but I used lots of ink. Here the photo is a  bit too bright, so you can't really see the different colors at the background and the edges.

Hi, Everyone!

This is my first post from many to come. Still trying to improve my blogging skills :). Nervous, don't know what to write, coz I usually know who I am talking to. Haha *nervous laugh. Bear with me, please.
